Naturopathic medicine for women
1:1 care with a board-certified naturopathic doctor.
Your first visit is a full hour with a licensed naturopathic doctor. We review what is happening, what you have already tried, and what options make sense from here.
What brings you here?
Not sure where you fit? That's okay. You don't need to have it figured out before you start.
One hour to get the full picture.
We go through what's happening, what has already been done, and what you want help with.
Before you leave, you should know what we're focusing on, what can wait, and what happens next.

Why Gentlewing
1:1 care with a naturopathic doctor who takes the time to understand your full picture and work out what makes sense for you.
There's time to talk things through
Your first visit is a full hour. We take the time to understand what's happening, what you've already tried, and what you want help with.
There's no set script. Follow-ups can be 15, 30, or 45 minutes, depending on what you need.
Medical training, with a broader toolkit
Licensed naturopathic doctors complete four-year, accredited doctoral programmes covering the biomedical and clinical sciences, alongside additional training in nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling and physical medicine.
Biomedical and clinical sciences
Accredited four-year naturopathic doctoral programmes cover anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, clinical diagnosis and laboratory medicine, alongside supervised clinical training.
Additional training
Naturopathic doctors undergo additional training in clinical nutrition, nutrient therapy, botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling, physical medicine and supplement–medication interactions.
Scope of practice
Depending on local laws and their licence, naturopathic doctors may be authorised to diagnose conditions, order tests, prescribe certain medications and provide primary care.
Your care is built around you
We don't start with a predetermined plan. Your doctor considers your history, your symptoms, the evidence and what matters to you, then works with you to decide what makes sense.
Meet our experienced naturopaths.

Our model
Because the first visit needs time.
Women's health rarely arrives as one question. There may be symptoms to understand, previous tests to review, treatments you've already tried, medications, changes in your cycle, sleep or weight, and the rest of your health and life around them.
An hour gives your practitioner time to hear the history properly, ask the questions that follow from it, and think with you before deciding what to do.

Self-pay visits, with practical use of insurance
Gentlewing does not bill insurance for visits. When testing is needed, we'll help you understand the available options. Depending on the test and your circumstances, this may include direct ordering, self-pay testing or asking an in-network primary care clinician to review the request and decide whether to order it through your insurance.
Insurance coverage depends on your plan and the circumstances of the test.
Frequently asked questions
Naturopathic medicine takes time to understand you as a whole person: your history, your symptoms in context, and what matters to you, rather than looking at a single symptom in isolation. It is evidence-informed and complementary, designed to work alongside your existing healthcare where appropriate.
Gentlewing doesn't replace conventional medical care. We complement it by taking a whole-person, longer-view approach, spending time understanding the context behind your symptoms and supporting you with evidence-informed, individualised care. Where appropriate, we collaborate with your existing healthcare team.
Gentlewing is for women seeking a more personalised, whole-person approach to their health, particularly across hormonal, reproductive, immune and inflammatory concerns. If you feel your symptoms haven't been fully understood, you may feel at home here.
Your consultation is unhurried. We take time to understand your history, your current concerns and what you're hoping for. From there, we explore an individualised, evidence-informed plan and talk through next steps together, at your pace.
No. You don't need to have everything figured out, or a formal diagnosis, to begin. Many people come to Gentlewing precisely because they're still trying to understand what they're experiencing.
Depending on your doctor's licence, local prescribing rules and your clinical eligibility, prescription treatments such as hormone therapy or GLP-1 medication may be considered as part of your care. Your doctor will review your symptoms, medical history, current medications, relevant risk factors and reproductive plans before discussing whether a treatment is appropriate.
Gentlewing is intentionally not contracted with insurance. This allows us to set visit lengths and make clinical decisions around the care you need, rather than an insurer's reimbursement structure. You pay Gentlewing directly for your visits. However, this does not necessarily mean every laboratory test, imaging study or prescription must also be paid entirely out of pocket.
If your Gentlewing doctor recommends testing, we'll discuss the most practical way to obtain it. Depending on the test, your state and your insurance plan, your doctor may be able to order it directly. Another option may be to ask an in-network primary care clinician to review the recommendation and decide whether to place the order through your insurance. Your primary care clinician must make their own medical decision about whether the testing is appropriate. Coverage depends on your plan, network, deductible and medical-necessity requirements, so we cannot guarantee that another clinician will order a test or that insurance will cover it. If using insurance is not practical, we can discuss available self-pay testing options. With your permission, we can share our assessment, the tests being considered and the clinical reasons for requesting them with your primary care clinician.
Book a 60-minute consultation — $295. You don't need a diagnosis to begin.
